How do I rename or merge a tag?

Rename

On the Tags page, switch to the List view, open the tag’s (⋯) menu and choose Rename (or click the name to edit it in place). The new name applies everywhere: there is a single tag object behind it, so every entry carrying it is updated instantly.

Names are unique per workspace and case-insensitive — you cannot have Support and support side by side.

Merge two tags

There is no dedicated “merge” button. The recommended path:

1. Make sure both tags are on the right entries.
2. Delete the duplicate tag — this removes it from the affected entries (the entries themselves are not deleted).
3. If needed, re-tag those entries with the tag you want to keep.

Renaming a tag toward an already-existing name is rejected, so it is not a merge shortcut.

Since colours are derived from the name, a renamed tag also changes colour — that is expected.
